New Year Resolutions for a New You

Old habits die hard, so instead of trying to break them I have learned that the easiest way to kick a bad habit to the curb is replacing it with a new one. It is the New Year and just about everyone is debating what there resolutions should be. Now, it is key to pick a resolution you can actually keep up with and fit into your schedule. I found that baby steps are the best way to get a new and improved habit into play for 2016.
Losing that extra weight
This one is defiantly at the top of my list, and it is the hardest one for me too. I know now it is the smallest efforts that benefit my weight loss. That being said going to the gym does not always fit in my schedule, yet walking around my neighborhood does, along with replacing junk food with vegetables or fruit. Instead of sodas water of course, if you find yourself having trouble drinking more water I usually cut up some fruit and mint leaves so that there is some flavor and is still healthy!

Money, Money, Money
Saving some extra cash always feels impossible, but with enough discipline it is very possible. Take a serious look at your bank account and find out what is really taking away from your wallet. I find that often I spend way too much cash on food and Starbucks I am sure many college students can relate. Taking leftovers for lunch and making my own coffee saved me an extra 100 dollars almost every pay period! Not to mention it helped my weight too.

Better Hobbies
We all know our vices, no need to rub them in and it is not necessary to write them completely out of your life. Try something new and more beneficial whether it is reading a new book every month or exploring your crafty side. Channel out some stress into a new hobby to balance out our natural instinct to re-watch all eleven seasons of Greys Anatomy on Netflix.

Remember it is all about baby steps in 2016, Happy New Year from Mystique!
